You are invited to the OSHS Museum also known as Oliver Springs Motor Company or the Abston Garage. In 2008, the Oliver Springs Historical Society initiated an extensive campaign of renovation and improvements to this building, so that is may serve as a multi-purpose community center and theater for Oliver Springs and Roane County community.
Today a tour of the Museum includes the Oliver Springs Archives which contain many donated photos and artifacts from the area's diverse history related to coal mining and the railroad which brought connection to the outside world as well as the exporting of coal and lumber and locally produced goods. The railroad also brought many people from all over to enjoy the grand Oliver Springs Hotel and a visit to the springs nearby. Come see the many photos of life in that era.
At the Museum, you can also enjoy Jerry's General Store. Here you will find gently used antiques, handcrafted wood signs, locally grown honey, homemade canned good and many more unique items.
Ahh, let's not forget the Annual Bake Sale held at the Museum. Here you will find "speciality" cakes and other delicious baked goods! This has always been a sold out even, so come early!
